May Day Tea Through the Eyes of the Explorers

Vikings were known for plundering, stopping in the Americas and then returning to their Scandinavian land. Eighth grader Iris Swanberg led the charge with Sadie Smith, Macy Williams and Aiden McNally in the boat ready to fight.

OVANDO – Ovando School shared about what they have learned this year about the United States Holidays and Explorers at their annual May Day Tea, May 17.

Through song and dance, the students took the audience on a journey across Europe visiting the Vikings, the Ottoman Empire, met King Charlemagne, saw the affects of the black plague and the changes the Renaissance period brought.
