Mark Kues watches his drone land after shooting video of approximately one mile of Morrell Creek from the bridge on Whitetail Drive to the bridge on Highway 83 May 7. Kues has been posting aerial videos of flooding around Seeley Lake on his Facebook page. Comments include appreciation from those not in Seeley and those unable to access their property. Some of his videos had been viewed more than 10,000 times.
SEELEY LAKE - The Seeley Lake Lions and Seeley-Swan High School Leos Club filled more than 100 sandbags Saturday, May 5. The bags were available at the Missoula County Satellite office for the community to use for flood protection. Team Rubicon's Missoula Chapter, a volunteer disaster relief organization, filled 500 bags at the Fire Hall on Sunday.
John Richards Construction and I Know Jack LLC provided the sand to fill the bags provided by Missoula County. Deer Creek Excavating and Nature Scapes transported the sand.
