Shirley L. Keiper

Swan Song

SEELEY LAKE - On Friday March 9, 2018 at 1:13 p.m. in Missoula, Mont. Shirley Lou Jones-Ogden-Keiper daughter, wife, mother, Oma, Great Oma and friend reunited with her loved ones that have passed on before. At this moment we envision her big huge Oma arms wrapped around Monica, Katie and Sara, our beloved Great Grans who left us too soon.

Shirley’s parents Clarence and Doris were standing at heaven’s door waiting and smiling arms outstretched. She is now snuggled up with her first husband Gene and brother-in-law Wade. And her big heart is embracing her two stepsons Ron and Ben, who have also passed.

God stood back with a huge smile of love and respect while she was greeted by all those she so loved. She was then greeted by God. Her God was extremely important to her. God embraced her and said, “Well done thou good and faithful servant. Come rest your weary head and suffer no more.”

Shirley’s faith and church family were a vital part of her life. She rarely missed a church service and the opportunity to play the piano. She was passionate about keeping the church library snappy and relevant. She impacted the lives of several children over the years through the gift of piano lessons. And many of us were the grateful recipients of some really awesome afghans.

Shirley was born in Paradise, Mont. While spending time in Polson and Missoula, Seeley Lake was considered home for many years.

She is survived by: her current husband Bill Keiper; daughters Tammie (Mel) and Cindy (Margaret); brother Brett (Kathy); sister Annie; nieces and nephews; several awesome grand kids and great grand kids.

Shirley’s family would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who were kind and gentle with her through the years, especially the more difficult recent years. Words cannot express our gratitude. A memorial is being planned to honor Shirley and will be announced at a later date.
