Seeley Lake resident Laura Devins made the three cakes and Condon resident Jill Meade made the cheesecake that were live auction items at the event.

SEELEY LAKE - "Can I get $350?" shouted auctioneer Gene Schade over the heckling. The bidding war ensued over a classic loaded carrot cake filled with cream cheese and drizzled with caramel until Vicki Voeglin, organizer from the first Dessert Night seven years ago, stepped in, "I can solve this. We will pay Laura to make another one and you can each have one for $350...$700 for the kids." Schade yelled, "Sold!"
