Nordic Team Kicks off Season

The yellow and gold Seeley Lake Nordic Team had a strong presence during the 3K Glacier Glide in Whitefish, Jan. 6. This was their first race of the season.

SEELEY LAKE – The Seeley Lake Nordic Team is setting the pace for a great season. Thirteen skiers participated in Glacier Glide 3K Skate Race in Whitefish Jan. 6. The youngest member of the team, Kimber Hanson from Potomac, participated in the cookie scramble.

The Kovatch siblings Seeley-Swan High School freshman Klaire and Seeley Lake Elementary seventh-grader Klayton led the team in the female and male races. Klaire swept the women's race finishing in 15:27, almost a minute ahead of the second place finisher Maeve Ingelfinger from Whitefish. Klayton finished in 14:30, fourth in his age...
