We at the Seeley-Swan Pathfinder are taking on a new challenge in 2017. For the first time, the Pathfinder is trying to figure out what people like best about the Blackfoot, Clearwater and Swan Valleys we proudly inhabit. Whether you live here year-round, during the summer or consider this area your backyard on weekends, we want to hear about the places you frequent.
All the businesses and locations in the Pathfinder's readership, including Ovando, Potomac, Seeley Lake and the Swan Valley are eligible. Have a go-to spot to eat every weekend? Have a favorite trail to hike or lake to paddle on? Is there a business that outshines the rest and deserves recognition? Let us know in the first annual Best of the Valleys Readers' Choice Awards.
Each category has been picked because we feel it represents a chunk of the businesses and lifestyles that make our valleys so great. Each category gives you a chance to write in whatever business you think is truly deserving of the title "Best of the Valleys."
This is our trial run-the Readers' Choice Awards will be back again, refined and tweaked per your feedback. If we missed a category we would like to hear it. If a category receives little response, we will change it for next year.
The deadline to cast your vote is Aug. 23. Vote online in our poll at the link posted on our website, http://www.seeleylake.com, or the Seeley Swan Pathfinder Facebook page. A hard copy will be inserted in next week's issue and will also be available at our office. Office hours are Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Winners will be announced in the Aug. 31 issue of the Pathfinder and will also receive a plaque denoting their "Best" attribute.
