The Winds of Change

The Environmental Protection Agency was created to improve the way our nation dealt with by-products of an advancing culture. To produce the goods and services that we now believe to be necessities, certain waste products are also produced. The proper disposal of these wastes required the establishment of the EPA to level the playing field for all producers, as the added cost was and is significant.

Change created the EPA and change is required to maintain its proper role. The Paris Accord was signed for the same reason but precautions to level the field were not included. Change, of course can be good, bad or change for the sake of change. Since the creation, (evolution if you wish), of the human species, progress has been the result of the first not the latter two.

Not even President Trump wishes to go back to the conditions existent in the 60s but modifications must be made in order to raise the beneficial attributes of advanced technology to all.

There are a plethora of educational venues, grades one-12, universities and colleges in our wonderful state, let alone in this great nation. The primary function of such schools, at one time, was to help students develop a personal system of research and thought which would promote actions on their part to help improve their life and that of those in their sphere of influence.

The results of this activity were expected to be change for the betterment of the general public hence a requirement of the state to provide basic education for its citizens. I would hope we/they will begin to use these thought processes to create dialog rather than confrontation when dealing with our differences.

President Trump is not without fault, “Let those who are without fault cast the first stone.”
