Jeffrey L. Ledbetter 1959 ~ 2017

Swan Song

SEELEY LAKE - Jeffrey L. Ledbetter, 57, passed away at his home in Seeley Lake May 21 with his loving wife Kathy by his side.

Jeff was born in Arlington, Va. in August of 1959 to Celia and Millard Ledbetter.

Jeff and Kathy celebrated their 25th year together May 8 of this year.

Jeff was a fun loving husband who never met a stranger. He loved to shoot the breeze with anyone and everyone. Jeff and Kathy moved to Seeley Lake from Denver, Colo. in 2004. Jeff opened a map and randomly pointed to a location which was Seeley Lake. They came for a visit and left owning a home here.

Jeff enjoyed fishing and camping here in Seeley Lake. He loved mountains and rocks, making Seeley Lake a perfect place for him. His friends describe him as "one of life's delightful characters." He was well loved and will be missed deeply by his friends and family.

Jeff was an avid motorcyclist, Harley-Davidsons, of course. Jeff and Kathy were frequently seen riding around the local area on one of his H-Ds.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Kathy; his mother Celia of Lehigh Acres, Fla.; his sister Susan Parish of Lehigh Acres, Fla.; uncle Hugh (Joyce) Ledbetter; aunt Florence Weatherford; uncle Eddie Morrison; aunt Catherine Carmichael; aunt Evelyn Herring; his niece Robin Mendenhall and two great-nieces Audrey and Page. He was preceded in death by his father Millard and brothers Lester and Richard.

Jeff is interred at Montford Cove in Union Mills, N.C.
