Records Fall at KLH Invitational

Senior Alex Bohlman sends the javelin down the field for a new school record of 144 feet, 1 inch, 3.5 feet farther than her record-breaking throw from the previous week. According to statistics on, her throw is the farthest so far this year in all Montana Class C schools, third in all classes of high schools in Montana and 20th in the nation.

FRENCHTOWN - The Seeley-Swan Blackhawks ran, jumped and threw to new levels setting personal records (PR) and in the process, breaking two school records at the Kim L. Haines Memorial track meet May 6.

Lady Blackhawks Cera Strumpfer and Alex Bohlman each set new school records. Strumpfer cleared 9 feet, 10 inches to break Shawna Nemmers 1996 record of 9 feet, 9 inches. The jump earned Strumpfer first place in the event.

Bohlman took first place and furthered her own school record from last week throwing the javelin nearly four feet farther to 144 feet, 1 inch.
