Special Management Area, Proposed Gravel Pit and Seeley Lake Trails Lead Council Agenda

SEELEY LAKE – A full agenda is set for the Seeley Lake Community Council meeting Monday, April 13. The meeting starts at 6 p.m. While there are no action items on the agenda, several presenters have been invited to attend.

The Executive Director of the Missoula Economic Partnership James Grunke begins the meeting with a discussion on housing and economic growth.

Missoula City-County Health Department Sanitarian Jim Erven will talk about the Special Management Area designation in Seeley Lake and what that means for septic tanks and landowners.

Deer Creek Excavation owner Gary Lewis will discuss the status of the proposed gravel pit on Cottonwood Lakes. Seeley Lake District Ranger Rachel Feigley will also be available to provide information and answer questions regarding the Cottonwood Lakes Road use by the proposed pit.

Jenny Rohrer and Dave Sharbono will give a presentation on the Seeley Lake Trails Project and let people know how they can get involved.

To wrap up the meeting, Missoula County Commissioner Dave Strohmaier has been invited and will be given the opportunity to address those in attendance.

Like always, there will be an opportunity for public comments on non-agenda items.

The informal part of the meeting will start at 5:30 p.m. next Monday, April 13, at the Seeley Lake Historical Museum and Visitors Center, 2920 Highway 83, with pizza and sodas.
