Lady Blackhawks Add to Winning Streak

SEELEY LAKE - The Seeley-Swan Lady Blackhawks triumphed over the Trojans and Lynx last week. The Ladies remain undefeated in conference with an 8-0 record and boast a 15-1 overall record.

Versus Drummond

The Lady Blackhawks hosted Drummond Feb. 3 for their last non-conference game of the season.

Drummond struck first and led though the most of the first quarter. Autumn Morse hit a three-point buzzer beater to put the Lady Blackhawks up 2.

The Lady Blackhawks blew the game out in the second quarter. They headed into the second half with a comfortable 17-point lead.

The Ladies kept the pressure on Drummond though the rest of the game to a final score of 49-27.

Cera Strumpfer had 15 points, leading the Lady Blackhawks. Strumpfer hit a pair of three-pointers while Morse hit 3, including her first quarter buzzer beater.

The Lady Blackhawks hit 8 of 12 free throws. Tessa Grimes was perfect with 4 of 4 as was Alex Bohlman with 2 for 2 from the line.

Also scoring: Morse 9; Ashley Miller 7; Alex Bohlman 6; Grimes 6; Stevi Meade 4 and Chloe Robbins 2.

Versus Lincoln

The Lady Blackhawks headed south to Lincoln to take on the Lynx Feb. 4.

The Lynx, with only six players on the bench, were easily overpowered. The Lady Blackhawks put nearly as many points on the board in the first quarter as the Lynx did the whole game. The final score was 51-17.

The Lady Blackhawks had three Ladies break into the double digits. Cera Strumpfer led with 11 while Tessa Grimes and Alex Bohlman each had 10.

The game was relatively clean with only 14 fouls called, 8 on the Lady Blackhawks and 6 on the Lynx. The Ladies hit 2 of 4 free throws attempted.

Also scoring: Stevi Meade 6; Mary Strumpfer 4; Andi Bohlman 4; Terra Bertsch; 3 Ashley Miller 2 and Chloe Robbins 1.
