Lady Blackhawks Add Two More to the Tally

SEELEY LAKE - The Seeley-Swan Lady Blackhawks marked down a pair of victories this week against Valley Christian and Drummond. The wins extend the Lady Blackhawks' overall record to 11-1.

Versus Valley Christian

For the second time in two weeks, the Lady Blackhawks took on the Valley Christian Eagles Jan. 20. The game was a blowout two weeks ago at home and it was a blowout last week on the road. The Lady Blackhawks thumped the Eagles 58-11.

Alex Bohlman led the ladies with 15 points followed by Tessa Grimes with 12.

All the Lady Blackhawks on the roster got to see some playing time with nine of the 11 putting points on the board.

The Lady Blackhawks struggled a little from the free throw line hitting just under 50 percent. They played a fairly clean game only committing nine team fouls.

Also scoring: Autumn Morse 8; Stevi Meade 5; Cera Strumpfer 5; Jory Towe 4; Terra Bertsch 4; Mary Strumpfer 3 and Lauryn Barnes 2.

Versus Drummond

The Lady Blackhawks headed to Drummond Jan. 21 to battle with the Trojans.

After a low scoring first quarter, the Lady Blackhawks pulled away in the second. They took an 11-point lead going into the second half and extended it to a solid 42-21 victory.

Tessa Grimes led the Ladies with 15 points. Cera Strumpfer hit a pair of three pointers on her way to 9 game points.

The Ladies again struggled from the free throw line hitting only 3 of 10 attempted.

Also scoring: Stevi Meade 6; Jory Towe 4; Alex Bohlman 3; Terra Bertsch 2; Autumn Morse 2 and Andi Bohlman 1.
