Citizens Alliance Bank Donates to Seeley-Swan Community Food Bank

SEELEY LAKE - Citizens Alliance Bank (CAB) - Seeley Lake Branch donated $250 to the Seeley-Swan Community Food Bank Jan. 6.

CAB loan officer Cheryl Lewis said the bank collected food throughout the month of December. They tied it in with their Customer Appreciation Day and had a donation box by the Christmas tree.

"We didn't have a real big amount to donate to the food bank so the bank came forward and came up with that amount," said Lewis who attributed the small donations to the lack of publicity for the food drive. "Next year we hope to publicize it a little bit better."

Seeley-Swan Community Food Bank President Karen Montgomery was very grateful for the donation.

"I want to thank the bank so much," said Montgomery. "We work with donations and it is wonderful when the community participates and helps us out with all the donations."

Montgomery said that the money will help pay for the elk processing from an elk that was donated to the food bank from Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks.

All 10 offices of CAB, including the Lincoln, Mont. branch and offices in Minnesota, donated to a local food bank after holding a food drive through the month of December.
