Blackhawks Trampled by Horsemen

SEELEY LAKE - The Seeley-Swan Blackhawks headed to Plains to take on the Horsemen Oct. 14.

The Blackhawks struggled to stop Plains early in the game. The Horsemen ran in several unanswered touchdowns.

The Blackhawks did find some success in limiting extra points but the brutal first half left the Blackhawks down 0-39.

In the second half, the Blackhawks were finally able to trip up the Horsemen. Bradley Miller ran in 39 yards for the Blackhawks first points.

Miller ran for a second touchdown in the fourth quarter and completed a pass to Shane Lindemer for a 28-yard touchdown.

The Blackhawks held the Horsemen to just three touchdowns in the second half for a final score of 18-58.

Blackhawks Head Coach Ryan Sokoloski said the team had several good kickoff returns with Lindemer nearly returning one for a touchdown. Sokoloski also said that Miller had a good game. Besides making two touchdowns Miller broke several tackles and made several long runs.

The Blackhawks final game is at home against Drummond Oct. 21 with kickoff at 7 p.m. Blackhawk seniors will be honored ahead of the game.
