Blackhawks Play to the End

SEELEY LAKE - The Seeley-Swan Blackhawks hosted the Charlo Vikings Oct. 8.

The Vikings proved to be a mean date for the Blackhawks' Homecoming racking up four touchdowns before the first quarter buzzer.

The Blackhawks slowed the Vikings momentum in the second and third quarters allowing only two touchdowns per quarter. They still struggled to move the ball in the right direction.

By the fourth quarter the Blackhawks were down 0-58 but weren't giving up.

The Blackhawks finally gained good field position after forcing the Vikings to punt. The punt fell short and took a positive bounce for the Blackhawks.

Hunter Sokoloski connected with Malachi Nicholas for a 15-yard pass to convert a fourth down. Sokoloski took the ball in the final yards on the next play for the Blackhawks' first touchdown. Sokoloski ran for the two-point conversion as well.

On the Blackhawks next possession Sokoloski completed a pair of passes. First hitting Bradley Miller for a 40-yard gain and then a 20-yard pass to Nate Samuli for the touchdown. It would be the last points on the board with a final score of 14-64.

The Blackhawks next game is on the road at Plains Oct. 14 at 7 p.m.
