The PIECES logo started with an abstract image drawn by Harris's uncle from California. After softening the image and incorporating different shading, they were all happy with the logo. They started asking students and teachers what they saw and which way the image should face. "We learned that when we start asking kids what do they see and looking at education through their perspective, then we truly are meeting those individual needs because we are taking the time to get what they see through their lens," said Angela Harris.
SEELEY LAKE – Many who drove by Seeley Lake Elementary (SLE) early this summer read "The PIECES Framework is taking over the world" on the reader board. While the framework has yet to take over the education world, the influence that it has had in the past year has set the waves in motion for tangible impacts locally and for other rural schools across the country.
