SEELEY LAKE - A single vehicle accident on Highway 83 claimed the life of 17-year-old Paul Hammerel from Condon, Mont.
Emergency responders were called to mile marker 18.5, three miles north of Seeley Lake, just before 10 p.m. Aug. 1.
According to Missoula County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Brenda Bassett, the southbound vehicle rolled several times. Neither Hammerel nor an unidentified passenger were wearing their seatbelts.
The condition of the passenger and the cause of the accident were not known at press time.
