SEELEY LAKE – The Seeley Lake Elementary (SLE) band hosted their spring concert May 3. In addition to songs with the entire band, the twelve members, from fifth through eighth grade, played solos and small group ensembles as a section.

Music Director Kaytee Ambrozich had each of the students introduce themselves and the piece they were going to play to the audience before performing. Many added information about the piece and why they chose it.

"Being able to introduce themselves and talk about music is a part of playing an instrument," said Ambrozich.

While many of the students were nervous prior to playing, they all appeared happy after finishing their song and hearing the applause.

Ambrozich said she was very proud of all the students for their hard work and courage playing in front of the audience. She also is excited that SLE hopes to offer an intermediate and beginner band next year.
