Hawks Take First At Darby Invitational

HAMILTON - The Blackhawks played the Darby Invitational on Tuesday, April 26 in Hamilton, Mont. They placed three boys in the top 10 and took first place overall as a team.

"It was a great day!" said Head Coach Wayne Cahoon, "The weather was good and the players are improving their game each week. The state golf tournament will be played in Hamilton in a few weeks, so it's nice to see the team so relaxed on this course."

Junior McKinley Nicholas won the gold medal by two strokes with an 81.

Senior Jacob Haley wasn't far behind with an 84, which landed him in a five-way tie for third place.

Senior Joshua Cahoon also shot for a spot in the top 10 with his 88 score.

The three boys' scores totaled at 253, which secured first place for the Blackhawks, eight strokes over second place Chinook.

Junior Jessie Hood shot for top ten also. With a score of 106, Hood took the fifth place spot by just one stroke.

The Blackhawks will host the next meet at their home course on Tuesday, May 3.
