Blackhawks Take on MCPS Invitational

Junior Alex Bohlman throws the javelin at the MCPS Invitational. Bohlman took first place and set a new person record with a throw of 139 feet, 9 inches.

MISSOULA - The Seeley-Swan Blackhawks headed to the Missoula County Public Schools Invitational April 16. The meet drew teams from C, B, A and AA schools making for stiff competition.

Alex Bohlman was the only Seeley-Swan athlete to break into the top six. Bohlman won the javelin by more than 10 feet with a throw of 139 feet 9 inches. The throw furthers Bohlman's school record and set a new personal record in the process. She also took third in the 200-meter with a time of 26.68.

Cera Strumpfer finished just outside of the top six in pole vault with a jump of 8 feet.
