Eggs Galore at the Annual Easter Egg Hunt

SEELEY LAKE - Locals and visitors to Seeley Lake enjoyed the annual Seeley Lake Lions Club Easter Egg Hunt Saturday, March 26. The 3,005 plastic eggs were gathered in a record time of seven minutes and more than 100 prizes were given away to lucky egg hunters.

Preparation for the egg hunt starts the day after Easter when many of the prizes are purchased for the next year. Two weeks ahead is when the real planning begins. Lions and other volunteers gathered Friday night to fill the plastic eggs.

"We look forward to this every year," said Lion Ken Krosperger who was one of the 30 Lions who helped put on the event.

Lion John Kimble said that the egg hunters picked up all the eggs two minutes faster than last year.

The same was true for the Treasure Hunters, ages 10-12, at the Lions Club Pond. Teamwork was the key to the treasure hunt this year with the first place team of five finishing in two minutes.

"We got great feedback about the event," said Kimble. "It's just good fun."
