SEELEY LAKE – Runners took to the roads around Seeley Lake for the 37th annual Snow Joke Half Marathon. This was the last year the local Cheetah Herders, the group that started the race 37 years ago, will officially be a part of the race. Next year there will be a new mascot along with other new features brought in by Big Sky Orogenic Racing and Events' (BSORE), the race organizers since 2014.

With pre-registration topping 800 two weeks ahead of the race, BSORE capped the race at 1,000 runners. With temperatures in the low 40s and rain, only 850 showed of the nearly 900 registered. This...
