Shaking the Chills of Cabin Fever

Seeley Lake Winterfest

SEELEY LAKE - The Seeley Lake Chamber of Commerce and Alpine Artisans Inc. (AAI) offered up multiple cures for the winter woes at their annual fundraising banquet entitled "Cabin Fever Tonic." Whether it was wine, wit or winter fun, attendees had an opportunity to join with family and friends and cure their cabin fever for the evening.

After a dinner of beef stroganoff and chicken carbonara, local talent took to the stage to entertain and impress. Musicians Katie Williams, the Feigleys, Kaytee Ambrozich and the Seeley-Swan High School small choral ensemble sang and played their winter doldrums away adding their personal touch and humor to well-known songs.

Poems, skits and lip syncs filled out the rest of the program. From Sonny and Cher to the Banana Boat and the Wonder of Winter Weight Gain to Randolf the Bowlegged Cowboy, the audience erupted in laughter and applause filled the Seeley Lake Community Hall.

Organizer for the event with the Seeley Lake Chamber Emily Rindal said, "It was a lot of fun. The participation from the entire community made it great. Carol [Evans] did a wonderful job of coordinating the entertainment and the performers outdid themselves."

"It was personally gratifying to see the turnout for the show and see how much fun people had," said entertainment coordinator Carol Evans. "Since it was a fundraiser for the Seeley Lake Chamber and Alpine Artisans, it means a lot to have the level of participation we had last night. Of course the performers took so much on, putting their skits together and putting themselves on display in some pretty silly scenes. Thank you to Heritage Office Stop who did a fantastic job on the programs. And a huge thank you to Jenny Rohrer (Rohrer Film and Video) for filming the show! People are already volunteering for next year's show."
