The Seeley-Swan Lady Blackhawks continued to rack up wins this week. The Ladies defeated the Granite Prospectors and the Lincoln Lynx to extend their overall record to 8-0.
Versus Granite
The Lady Blackhawks hosted the Granite Prospectors Jan. 8 in what was anticipated to be a close match-up. Granite came into the game with only one loss this season. The undefeated Lady Blackhawks sent the Prospectors home with their second loss after taking control of the game in the second quarter. Final score was 49-19.
Alex Bohlman led the Ladies with 11 points followed by Paige Holmes with 9. Bohlman and Holmes each had one three-pointer. Tessa Grimes and Stephanie Robbins added 8 points each.
Also scoring: Delaney Holzworth 6; Stevi Meade 2; Mary Strumpfer 2; Eliana Robinett 2 and Cera Strumpfer 1.
Versus Lincoln
The Lady Blackhawks headed to Lincoln to take on the Lynx Jan 9. The Ladies wasted no time running up more points in the first quarter than the Lynx could score in the game. The assault on the Lynx didn't let up till the final buzzer for the 77-21 Lady Blackhawks victory.
Four Lady Blackhawks scored into the double digits with Delaney Holzworth's 15 points leading the way followed by Paige Holmes' 14. Tessa Grimes had 11 while Mary Strumpfer scored 10.
Also scoring: Cera Strumpfer 8; Marisol Caro 7; Alex Bohlman 6; Stephanie Robbins 4 and Stevi Meade 2.
This Week:
The Blackhawks and Lady Blackhawks host the Darby Tigers Jan. 15 with games starting at 2:30 p.m. The teams then head to Victor Jan. 16 to take on the Pirates with games starting at 1 p.m.
