Blackhawks Out Classed by Bigfork


The Seeley-Swan Blackhawks fell to the Class B Bigfork Vikings Jan. 2. The loss at Bigfork gives the Blackhawks a 2-4 overall record.

The Blackhawks took a beating in the first half as the Vikings outshot them on the floor and punished them for fouls hitting nine of ten free throws.

In the second half, the Blackhawks were able to match the Vikings nearly shot for shot but were unable to overcome their 24-point deficit from the first half. The final score was 38-65 in favor of the Vikings.

Jacob Haley led the Blackhawks with 11 points hitting two of the teams six, three-pointers, a pair of two-point shots and a free throw. Joshua Cahoon followed with 7 points and Chance Johnson added 6 of his own.

Also scoring: Nino Robinett 4; Cameron Haines 3; Keaton Johnson 3; Mitch Parcell 2 and Billy Bedson 2.

This Week at SSHS

The Blackhawks and Lady Blackhawks host the Philipsburg Prospectors Jan. 8 with games starting at 2:30 p.m. The teams then head to Lincoln Jan. 9 to take on the Lynx. Varsity Girls start at 3:30 p.m. followed by the Varsity Boys with no JV games.
