Lady Blackhawks Victorious Over Teams, New and Old

The Seeley-Swan Lady Blackhawks added a pair of wins last week by defeating the newly formed Mountain Cats and old rival, the Drummond Trojans. The Ladies now have a 5-0 overall record.

Versus Clark Fork Co-op

The Lady Blackhawks defeated the Clark Fork Mountain Cats Dec. 17 at Superior. The newly formed Mountain Cats are a co-op between Alberton and Superior.

The Lady Blackhawks took an early lead and ran with it, outscoring the Cats in every quarter to a 53-30 victory.

Tessa Grimes led the Lady Blackhawks scoring 14 points. Delaney Holzworth added 10 points for the Ladies and went two for two from the free throw line along with Paige Holmes.

Also scoring: Holmes 9; Mary Strumpfer 5; Marisol Caro 5; Alex Bohlman 4; Stephanie Robbins 4 and Cera Strumpfer 2.

Versus Drummond

The Lady Blackhawks hosted the Drummond Trojans for their first home game of the season Dec. 19.

The game started out in favor of the Trojans as they led through the first quarter. The Lady Blackhawks managed to shut down the Trojan's offense in the second quarter allowing only two points. The Ladies took advantage and a 10-point lead into the second half.

The Lady Blackhawks outscored the Trojans 3 to 1 in the third quarter and held them off in the fourth for a 49-39 victory.

Paige Holmes led the Lady Blackhawks with 14 points. Alex Bohlman was close behind with 11 points.

Also scoring: Delaney Holzworth 8; Marisol Caro 5; Eliana Robinett 4; Stephanie Robbins 2; Stevi Meade 2; Tessa Grimes 2 and Mary Strumpfer 1.
