    Graduating seniors played their last home basketball game against Charlo. The seniors were recognized with their families and friends, before playing in their game. The game was a perfect ending for their home court, with both the boys' and girls' teams taking the win, as well as both JV teams.     On Saturday, Jan. 7, Seeley Lake Nordic skiers participated in their first race of the season - The Glacier Glide in Whitefish, Montana. After only one week of practice, the racers dove in, with two of them skiing a 3k pursuit (3 kilometers of classic style followed by 3 kilometers of skate style skiing), and two racing a 3k skate. The Lady Blackhawks wasted no time keeping the Pirates at bay outscoring them 18-3 in the first quarter and finished them off 54-18.     SEELEY LAKE - The Lady Blackhawks versus Lady Prospectors from Granite High School in Philipsburg was a fair match up on Thursday, Jan. 12, which was evident on the scoreboard the whole game.     OVANDO - Three basketball games are scheduled in Ovando for the first time in ten years. The 2022-23 season of the Blackfoot Valley Basketball League welcomed the Ovando Colts with 12 players for the "B" and "C" squads. For the last ten years Ovando and Helmville have had a co-op team that met in Helmville as neither community had enough kids for full teams.     VICTOR - The Lady Blackhawks took the win over the Victor Pirates at their third away game on Dec.17. The girls took the lead right away, only giving Victor 10 points to their 49 in the first half, and leaving them with zero points in the second half, finishing the game with a score of 65 to 10.     SEELEY LAKE - The Seeley Swan Blackhawks and Lady Blackhawks defeated the Lincoln Lynx with ease in front of the home crowd Dec. 16. The Boys dominated the first half scoring 17 points in each quarter while only allowing the Lynx 13 points total. The Blackhawks breezed through the second half to a 54-38 victory.     MISSOULA -- The Seeley Swan High School volleyball players played a grueling six games in two days, winning their way through the loser’s bracket to place second in the District C13 tournament in Missoula Oct. 27 and 28.
