Nathan Bourne, Pathfinder
The Seeley Lake Ranger District is keenly aware of the ongoing effort it will take to keep the trail clear. The trail to the falls was cleared several weeks ago yet 33 trees crossed the path Oct. 19. While trees in burned areas are very likely to come down in the wind, they also can fall with no notice. Fire can consume the roots or hollow out a tree making it look like a sound tree when it is not.
