  • Start behaving yourselves

    Pat Caffrey, Seeley Lake, Mont.|Nov 29, 2018

SEELEY LAKE - The community voted two-to-one to replace three of five Sewer Board members. Two of the new members quit out of frustration, leaving the other neutralized. The will of the community wanted an attitude change. That will has been overturned by the old guard. I encouraged consensus. I even volunteered for the board. I contacted all players for input. I have been increasingly shunned and ignored, many phone calls not returned and my candidacy bypassed without discussion or vote. I wish the Larson suit hadn’t been filed and that r...

Luke Lamar, Conservation Director, Swan Valley Connections|Nov 29, 2018
    1

There is an incredible array of animal tracks and sign to be discovered in nature. Some are obvious and some are very subtle. Footprints, droppings, scrapes on trees and foraging sign are just a few things that can provide clues about an animal species' presence and how it uses a given area. Learning and honing animal tracks and sign skills is an art that challenges the human sensory system and requires no technology. Tracks can be found any time of the year on many substrates (snow, dust,...

    Betty Vanderwielen, Pathfinder|Nov 29, 2018

Today, Thanksgiving has to share time with football games and pre-mature Black Friday shopping. But how did the day after Thanksgiving get such a black name? • First four songs of Christmas

Pastor Craig Wilson, Pastor - Mission Bible Fellowship|Nov 29, 2018

This December I look forward to speaking for four Sundays about the original songs of Christmas. These four songs, contained in the first two chapters of Luke, poetically proclaim the Good News of Jesus. These first four songs of Christmas come from Mary, Zechariah (father of John the Baptist), the angels speaking to the shepherds and a man named Simeon.
