    SEELEY LAKE - The Seeley Lake Lions and Seeley-Swan High School Leos Club filled more than 100 sandbags Saturday, May 5. The bags were available at the Missoula County Satellite office for the community to use for flood protection. Team Rubicon's Missoula Chapter, a volunteer disaster relief organization, filled 500 bags at the Fire Hall on Sunday.     Although winter conditions were severe this year with a longer period of ice cover on lakes and heavy snow accumulation in western Montana, Fish, Wildlife & Parks fisheries surveys in Region 2 indicate fish mortality was low.     Seeley Lake Shelter Available SEELEY LAKE - As of 12 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, the American Red Cross opened a shelter in Seeley Lake at Mission Bible Fellowship for those displaced by flooding in or around Seeley Lake. MBF is located on Highway 83 and School Lane. If the shelter is not being used for a 12-hour period, it will not be staffed and put back into standby.     MISSOULA - Seeley-Swan's Klaire Kovatch has been aiming to break the school discus record all season. Her efforts paid off at the Kim L. Haines Invitational track meet May 5 with a throw of 130 feet 5 inches. She broke the previous record of 127 feet 7 inches set by Shyanne Feucht in 2007.
