SEELEY LAKE - The Lolo National Forest is amending the Recreation Fee proposal from last summer by postponing the proposed day use fees at the Seeley Creek Winter Sports site, Pattee Canyon Nordic Ski Trail system, and Big Larch and Seeley Lake day use areas and boat ramps. SEELEY LAKE – Josh Gibbs accepted a two-year contract to become Seeley Lake Elementary's superintendent. Seeley Lake Elementary School Board voted unanimously to offer the position to him at their March 11 meeting. There were more than ten applicants for the superintendent position. The bears are awake! The Be Bear Aware Campaign has been notified by wildlife officials in Montana, Washington and Idaho that bears are coming out of hibernation. SEELEY LAKE – At their March 11 meeting, the Seeley Lake Elementary school board discussed COVID-19 preparations, the 2018-2019 test scores and unanimously approved running a general fund levy. POTOMAC - With a team of 10, the Potomac girls basketball team came through the season with three regular season wins and one tournament game win. MISSOULA – The Lady Blackhawks bowed out of the State C Basketball Tournament after falling to Melstone in their opening game March 12 and Scobey the next day.
