Donations Needed

SEELEY LAKE - Loving Hearts is in need of clothing and household items. Consider donating gently used, no longer needed items that are in good shape and in good working condition.  

Clothing should be clean, no holes or stains, no missing buttons and no broken zippers. Large items, including big TVs and furniture, are not accepted.

Donations are accepted at Loving Hearts Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.  Please do not leave items on the doorstep as the rain and snow ruins them.

Planning Meeting for Seeley Lake Fourth of July Celebration, April 2

SEELEY LAKE – The Seeley Lake Area Chamber of Commerce invites anyone interested in helping plan and organize Seeley Lake’s Fourth of July celebration to the first planning meeting, Monday, April 2 at 6 p.m. at the Filling Station. Bring new ideas and ways to make the celebration even better than last year.

Swan Valley AARP Meeting, April 3

Swan Valley - The Swan Valley AARP will meet Tuesday, April 3 at 12 p.m. at the Swan Valley Community Hall. A potluck lunch hosted by George and Emily Beck will begin at 12:30 p.m. 

At 1:30 p.m., there will be a brief meeting followed by Suzanne Philippus-Palm’s film about the Swan Valley. The public is invited.

Community Potluck Dinner, April 4

Swan Valley - Swan Valley Connections’ April Community Potluck Dinner 6 p.m. April 4 will feature a presentation by Luke Lamar and Mike Mayernik on rare forest carnivores and the monitoring projects that SVC has been conducting for the last seven years. Game camera videos of wolverine and lynx, as well as other species will be included.

Swan Valley Connections monthly potlucks are held on the first Wednesday of every month at the Swan Valley Community Hall. This is a time for all community members to come together, share food, learn from one another and enjoy live music!

Doors open at 5:30 p.m., potluck dinner at 6 p.m., presentation at 6:30 p.m., open mic-style live music at 7:15 p.m. - bring your instruments!

Free. Everyone is welcome.

Members Needed for Missoula City-County Air Quality Advisory Council

MISSOULA - Do inversions, forest fire smoke, or road dust concern you? Missoula County residents interested in improving air quality are invited to apply for membership on the Missoula City-County Air Quality Advisory Council.

The Council currently has openings for two alternate positions. Alternates vote during meetings when there are not enough members present to form a quorum. Alternates also provide their voice and extra insight during Council discussions.

The all-volunteer Council meets the first Tuesday evening of each month and advises the Missoula City-County Air Pollution Control Board on a broad range of air quality topics including transportation, industrial sources, outdoor burning, road dust, wildfire smoke, and wood stoves.
