FREE Movie Night, Feb. 25

SEELEY LAKE – Join Mission Bible Fellowship Sunday, Feb. 25 at 6 p.m. for the movie “The Case for Christ.”

A hard-driving journalist, Lee Strobel was exactly where he expected to be at work: on top. His award-winning investigative reporting recently earned him a promotion to legal editor at the Chicago Tribune. But things weren’t going nearly as well at home where his wife Leslie’s newfound faith in Christ went against everything Lee believed—or didn’t believe—as an avowed atheist.

Utilizing his journalistic and legal training, Lee begins a quest to debunk the claims of Christianity in order to save his crumbling marriage. Chasing down the biggest story of his career, Lee comes face-to-face with unexpected results that could change everything he knows to be true.

Based on Lee Strobel’s award-winning bestselling book and starring Mike Vogel, Erika Christensen, Faye Dunaway and Robert Forster, “The Case For Christ” website touts the movie “is for everyone who has ever pondered the existence of God.”

First Friday Oral History Review, March 2

Swan Valley - Voices of longtime Swan Valley residents will be featured at the Upper Swan Valley Historical Society’s First Friday Oral History Review, March 2, 6 p.m. at the Swan Valley Community Hall (Highway 83 mile marker 42.5).

The event will celebrate stories that illustrate the history and culture of the Swan Valley, as heard in oral history recordings, published and unpublished, and from the recollections of event participants. After listening to excerpts of recorded interviews, audience members will be urged to enliven the evening with their memories. Tea, coffee and cookies will be served.

The Oral History Review is free; everyone is welcome. The event is funded by memberships and donations and by Blackfoot. A Montana Cultural Trust Grant also supports the USVHS.

The event had been planned for the Swan Valley Museum. But there is too much snow in the parking lot. A sign at the Museum will direct people to the Community Hall.

For more information, call 406-754-2745 or 754-2538, or email lamar@blackoot.net or anned@blackfoot.net or visit http://www.SwanValleyHistoricalSociety.org.
