Ron lived in Plentywood/Outlook area until 1946. Family moved to Eureka Montana in 1946, graduated from Lincoln County High School in Eureka in 1955. He married Joan Newton in 1956 in Eureka, Mont.

Ron resided in Eureka until 1965. Drafted into U.S. Army in 1960. Stationed at Presidio of San Francisco, Calif. 1960 to 1962. Returned to Eureka, MT until moving to Billings, Mont. in 1965 working for the Soil Conservation Service. While in Billings, Ron and Joan were blessed with the birth of two sons, Dean in 1967 and Gene in 1968.

Ron transferred to the Forest Service and moved to Great Falls, Mont. in 1970 and to Kalispell, Mont. in 1973. He returned to Great Falls in 1976. Resided and worked in Great Falls until retiring and moving to Seeley Lake, Mont. in 2001, where he worked part-time for Pyramid Mountain Lumber.

Ron was a LCMS Lutheran from birth, believing Jesus Christ the Risen Lord to be his Savior. At the time of his death he was a member of Messiah - LCMS in Missoula, MT.

The funeral service will be at Messiah Lutheran Church, 3718 Rattlesnake Drive, Missoula, at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13. Graveside services will follow at the Seeley Lake Cemetery at 3 p.m.
