Grab the Golden Ring While it is There

SEELEY LAKE - This kind of opportunity to improve the community and prepare it for a long future will not come again soon, if ever. We are fortunate to have a generous grant to pay for a sewer system and the dedicated people willing to volunteer their time and skills to the effort.

You can read about the benefits of the proposed sewer project in other letters and at www.seeleysewer.org. I am writing this letter as a personal testimony to these benefits. I have lived in two other communities that endured sewer and water controversies like this. Those community projects were initially divisive but well worth it with grant money that is precious and hard to get. The benefits and avoided future costs definitely outweigh the project costs.

My family has owned property and spent time at Seeley for over 50 years. I have very fond memories of summers at the pristine lake and in the town. The impacts of more people is evident, and this sewer project is key to ensuring future generations have the same opportunities. I’ve been through a few of these, and recognize a worthwhile project when I see one.
