Blessings Continue for Trevino Family

SEELEY LAKE – Fundraising for Seeley Lake's Trevino family continues after their three-year-old daughter Addy was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor this past summer. The "Grizzlies of the Rockies" photograph, taken by Sharrell Perry of Kalispell, raised $2,003 and gives parents Jen and Treay the gift of time with their daughter.

Perry took the "Grizzlies on the Rockies" photo at Many Glacier last spring. She entered the photo in the 2017 Northwest Montana Fair and won Reserve Grand Champion in the senior amateur division. Before entering the photograph in the fair, Perry decided to have it printed as a 16X24 inch metal print and donate it as an additional way to raise money for the Trevino family.

"She wanted to help us do our part," said Seeley Lake resident Shana Marx, Perry's daughter.

The print was on display and tickets sold at Rovero's where Shana's husband Kyle is a manager and Treay worked. Marx also promoted it on Facebook with the caveat that it would be shipped for free to anyone in the continental US.

"People from all over the western part of the United States participated in the raffle," said Marx.

The Trevino family was completely unaware that people in Seeley Lake were once again helping raise funds for them.

"Kyle and Shana Marx have shown us that this town continues to be the lighthouse in our storm," wrote Jen and Treay Trevino in an email. "Even the small touches, including the countless variety of craft paper that Shana used for the tickets, are heartwarming."

This was the first fundraiser Addy participated in since they just recently returned to Seeley Lake. She chose Leo Heath's ticket from Butte, Mont. Friday, Nov. 3.

"I want to say a heartfelt thank you to all of the amazing folks that contributed, bought tickets, sold tickets and helped us make this an amazing success," wrote Marx in a Facebook post.

"We were amazed at the turnout, and couldn't believe that people all over the western US sent checks in," wrote the Trevinos. "There is no other way to fully express it than love. We love you; we love all of you and are forever thankful."
