SEELEY LAKE - The Seeley-Swan Lady Blackhawks finished the regular season winning three of three games last week. The victories give them a record of 8-8 overall and 6-4 in conference. They head to the district tournament seeded second behind Clark Fork.

Versus Valley Christian

The Lady Blackhawks hosted the Eagles Oct. 19 in their final home game of the season.

The Ladies made quick work of the Eagles in the first two games, 25-14 and 25-13. The Eagles came back in game three taking it 14-25. The Lady Blackhawks found their footing again and secured the match with a 25-16 victory in game four.

Ahead of the game the team took time to recognize its seniors, Chloie Hanback, Emily Mercado and Tanisha Rhoades. All three seniors made their mark in the statistics.

Hanback had 1 ace, 5 digs, 4 kills and led the Ladies with 2 stuff blocks. Mercado led the team with 6 aces and had a pair of digs while Rhoades had 5 aces, 10 digs and 2 kills.

Versus Granite

The Lady Blackhawks headed to Philipsburg Oct. 20 for a non-conference match against the Prospectors who sit in third place in their conference.

The Ladies made quick work of the match taking it in three games, 25-16, 25-19 and 25-15.

Ashley Miller led the Ladies with 7 kills. Autumn Morse and Tanisha Rhoades each had a pair of aces. Morse had all of the team's 16 assists while Klaire Kovatch had 2 of the team's 3 stuff blocks.

Versus Darby

The Lady Blackhawks faced the Darby Tigers in their last regular season match Oct. 21.

The last time the teams met at Seeley, the Tigers won in four games so the Lady Blackhawks were looking to return the favor in Darby.

Ashley Miller had 11 kills and 4 aces to lead the Lady Blackhawks. Autumn Morse continued to rack up the assists with 23 of the teams' 28 while Tanisha Rhoades led with 23 digs. Klaire Kovatch was credited with the teams' 3 stuff blocks.

The District 13-C Tournament is at Valley Christian in Missoula Oct. 27 and 28. The Lady Blackhawks' first match will be Friday at 3:15 p.m. against the winner of Lincoln and Valley Christian.

The tournament brackets are printed in Cory's Valley Market's ad on the back page of the Pathfinder.
