MCT's "The Wiz of the West"
Dotty (Grace Wilson), Mooch (Bailey Bartlett), Scared Crow (Coby Gonzalez), Lionel (Rowan McClure) and Tinhorn (Cadence Mauldin) were tasked with bringing Hawknose Halley's (Seppa Francis) nose back to Dr. Ozzy (Samuel Welch) before he would help them. After removing Halley's fake nose, everyone reacted in horror and quickly realized how beautiful she was. "No one takes a pretty girl seriously," said Halley. "I want people to treat me for who I am not how I look. I wore that nose to get some respect."
SEELEY LAKE – Seeley Lake Elementary (SLE) students headed west May 19 on a quest to find themselves and the truth in the Missoula Children's Theater (MCT) production of "The Wiz of the West". Nearly 40 SLE students shared the classic story of the Wizard of Oz with a twist taking the audience along with them for a saga of western adventure and personal discovery.
