Local Talent to Grace the Stage, May 12

SEELEY LAKE - Alpine Artisans’ second Alpine Review hits the stage Friday, May 12 at 7 p.m. with a full program of music, poetry, art, scholarship awards and laughs.

The doors at Seeley Lake Community Hall open at 6:30 p.m. to enable ticket buyers to bid on the silent auction, which will feature several dozen items of unique and valuable local art and homemade items. Raffle tickets will be sold until the drawing at intermission for five items: a Jennifer Dyer basket, a one-hour scenic plane flight for two donated by Scott Newpower, a horseback ride for two at Rich Ranch, a Dona Aitken juniper lamp and an original watercolor by professional watercolorist Pat Branting. The raffle, auction and ticket sales benefit AAI’s student scholarships and outreach activities. Savories and sweets will be served and beer and wine are available for a donation.

New performers this year include poet Deidre Lechowski, guitar player and singer Tim Tanberg, cowboy poet Angelo Pecora, vocalists Colleen Harrington, Rose Mercer and Katie Williams and cellist Erika Wilson.

Returning to the stage are local students Abram Pocha, Mary and Cera Strumpfer, Chloe Robbins with McKinley Nicholas and Ovando resident and Hellgate student Zia Kloetzel. Trace Stone, Pete and Rachel Feigley will perform, making you wonder if you’re not in the audience of the Grand Ole Opry! Anne Beach will add her impeccable humor to her role as Mistress of Ceremonies. Several youth grant and scholarship winners will be awarded at intermission and the raffle winners will be drawn.

Last year’s audience blew the roof off the Community Hall with their appreciation of this unique showcase of local talent. Don’t miss it this year! Tickets are $15, with students under 18 admitted free of charge.
