Valentine Dinner and Bingo a Success

POTOMAC - The Potomac/Greenough Community Center (PGCC) was filled with more than 50 people Feb. 11 eating a Valentine meal and then playing Bingo.

The function was the second time the PGCC board has offered bingo to the community. The Potomac School eighth-graders participated by providing a dinner beforehand to earn money for their trip this spring.

Dinner included spaghetti, salad, bread, drinks and desserts. Pink lemonade was the special drink served for the occasion as well as red heart cookies, cakes and brownies.

Vases of fresh flowers adorned the tabletops.

Valentine decorations were made by Potomac School primary grades and had sayings such as 'Owl always love you' and 'You blow the fire right out of me' with animals such as owls and dragons printed on them.

Cash prizes totaled $620 for the bingo players. A children's faux bingo section was full of participants as well with children receiving treat coupons that could be applied toward the concession stand.

Next PGCC Bingo will be March 11 beginning with dinner at 5:30 p.m. served by the Potomac eighth-graders followed by the first game at 6:30 p.m.
