Blackhawks Split Final Week of Regular Season

The Seeley-Swan Blackhawks wrapped up their regular season defeating Darby and falling to Victor. They finished the season with an overall record of 7-11 and a 6-8 in conference record placing them sixth in District 13-C as they head to district tournaments this week.

Versus Darby

The Blackhawks headed to Darby to take on the Tigers Feb. 12.

The Blackhawks took a nine-point advantage over the Tigers in the second quarter. They were able to further their lead through the second half to a 61-47 victory.

Jacob Haley led the Blackhawks sinking 4, three-pointers and 1, two-point shot on his way to 20 game points. Haley punished the Tigers for their fouls in the fourth quarter putting in 6 for 6 from the free throw line.

Joshua Cahoon followed Haley in scoring with 11 while Bradley Miller had 9.

Also scoring: Cameron Haines 6; Chance Johnson 6; Gunner Sloan 4; Nino Robinett 3 and Keaton Johnson 2.

Versus Victor

The Blackhawks hosted the Victor Pirates Feb. 13 for their final regular season game. Both teams came into the game with a 6-7 in conference record and the Blackhawks had previously defeated the Pirates.

The Blackhawks and Pirates traded shots throughout the first half and headed into the halftime break 20-19 in favor of the Blackhawks.

Midway into the third quarter, the Pirates started to build a lead that the Blackhawks wouldn't be able to overcome. The game went to the Pirates with a final score of 40-50.

Cameron Haines and Jacob Haley led the Blackhawks with 10 points each.

Also scoring: Joshua Cahoon 8; Gunner Sloan 3; Keaton Johnson 3; Bradley Miller 3; Nino Robinett 2 and Chance Johnson 1.

This Week at SSHS

District 13-C Tournaments are this week in Hamilton, Mont. The Boys first game is against Clark Fork Feb. 17 at 7 p.m. The Lady Blackhawks take on Lincoln for their first game of the tournament Feb. 18 at 12:15 p.m.
