    SEELEY LAKE – The Seeley Lake Elementary school flag football season started Sept. 13 with a rough game against Superior. After focusing on their defense, the team is getting better with every practice. Head Coach Brett Haines is optimistic and is looking forward to how the team will do when they meet Superior again this week. There are 32 players in fifth through eighth grade this year.     MISSOULA – Cool fall temperatures favored "cool" running results from the Seeley-Swan High School Blackhawks Cross Country team Saturday, Sept. 24 at the Mountain West Meet in Missoula. The Blackhawks competed against many large teams from Montana, Washington and Idaho. Every member on the team scored a season personal record (PR) and/or a personal best.     The Seeley-Swan Lady Blackhawks headed to Philipsburg and defeated the Granite Prospectors last week. The team then took on multiple opponents at the Mineral County Shootout in St. Regis. The Lady Blackhawks now have a 3-1 in conference and 4-3 overall record. Versus Granite The Lady Blackhawks made quick work of the Prospectors Sept. 26 in Philipsburg.     SEELEY LAKE & SWAN VALLEY – Ranger Districts on the Lolo and Flathead National Forests are planning to conduct multiple fall season prescribed fire projects, when weather, fuel conditions and air quality is favorable. Burning is expected to start as early as Sept. 16 and will continue through the close of open burning season Nov. 30.
